In the manufacturing process of lithium-ion batteries, current organic solvent-based processes will inevitably be replaced with eco-friendly water-based processes. For this purpose, organic-soluble binder should a water-soluble or water-dispersed binder. study, new polyacrylate latex dispersed in water was successfully applied as battery cathodes for first time. One biggest advantages is that it electrochemically stable at working voltage typical cathodes, unlike conventional styrene-butadiene This implies has no limitations usage cathodic The performance lithium iron phosphate compared those organic-based polyvinylidene fluoride well exhibited an electrochemical comparable to existing and much better than superior attributed point-to-point bonding mechanism emulsified binder, which leads strong adhesion strength low electrical charge transfer resistances cathodes.
